Kings Vs Lakers Preseason Fun

- Phil Jackson says he is going to mess with the starting lineup every preseason game.  He starts Fisher, Bryant, Radmanovic, Gasol, and Bynum.  It’s Bynum’s first start.

- Walton is out for his final game, so is Vujacic.  Sun Yue is out because of his mononucleiouses, even though he played in the last game against the Clippers.  To be fair, he did play like he had mono.

- Kobe falls down on a Beno Udrih dribble move.  Hopefully that wakes him up for the rest of the season.  He schools Salmons with a Hakeem-like fake and left hand scoop the very next play.

- Radmanovic states his case to start with good shooting and court vision.

- Odom comes off the bench for the first time.  He looks delighted to lose his starting spot.

- Kobe misses a dunk he had no lift on, and then he makes an alley-oop jam the very next play.  It’s like the young Kobe and the older-I just played all summer in the Olympics- Kobe are in an epic battle.

- Odom looked good off the bench (much to his dismay, I assume).  Hustling defensively, finding open men, even knocked down a 3.

- Bynum watch: Nada.  He misses a few jump hooks that aren’t close, losses his balance on another catch.  He finally rolls in a 15 foot shot and got an assist.

- Lakers defense looks soft again, halftime score is 49-47, Sacramento.  Bynum and Rado are replaced by Odom and Ariza to start the third quarter.

- Odom looks like his versatile best for the first time all preseason, great to see.

- Three straight games where Pau Gasol looks like a bonafide all-star.  Look for him to make his 2nd appearance at the games if this keeps up.

- Kobe still looks tired, and his shot is still off.  I’m legitimately worried.

- Bynum watch: Gets himself together in the third.  Nice jump hooks, and two monster blocks.

- Brandon Heath, Cj Giles, Joe Crawford, Coby Carl (who looked like a poor man’s Craig Ehlo), and DJ Mbenga hold on to the Laker lead to end the game.  Lakers win 94-89.  You gotta love the preseason.
