Lakers Have a Bench Problem

The Lakers better hope the Charlotte Bobcats don’t sneak into the 8th spot of the playoffs and somehow make it to the NBA Finals (current Lakerhead projections of this happening are hovering somewhere around 0.17%).  Because there is no way this Laker team can regularly beat the Bobcats.

I still have nightmares (probably twice a month) of the Lakers losing all 3 road games in the 2004 NBA Finals and losing to the Detroit Pistons in 5.

Lakers Play Championship Defense

The Lakers convincingly defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 107-89, giving the Laker starters time to rest during the entire 4th quarter.
Was that a San Antonio Spurs game I just watched?  It had all the same patterns of the Spurs when Bruce Bowen and Tim Duncan were at their defensive prime:

Lakers’ Bench Remembers They’re Good, Lakers Beat Bulls
