Lakers Out-Offense the Kings

The Laker defense just wasn’t there again in Sacramento.  As the Lakers went down by 11 points in less than 7 minutes, the Lakers called a timeout.

I would pay large amounts of money to be a fly on that Laker bench for that timeout.  Phil Jackson must have ripped the team.  It worked….sort of.  The Lakers won the game, 122-104.

The Kings cooled down their unbelievable shooting, the Laker defense marginally stepped up, but mainly decided “hey, the Kings can’t stop anybody, let’s just score a whole bunch of points on them!”  Which is great, but good luck winning with that strategy in the playoffs.

Spencer Hawes looked to have a little coming out party.  The young center put in 21 and 15.  Of course, Pau Gasol, our power forward playing as an undersized center did have 26 and 12 on him on two less shots.

Kobe had one of his efficient games, scoring 22, getting 5 rebounds and 4 assists on 8-16 shooting.  Just try and beat the Lakers if Kobe plays this well with his teammates.

It’s official, Lakers-Fan.com has posted the funniest Sasha “The Machine” Vujacic video to get you pumped for the playoffs.  Well, it worked.  I’m totally pumped.
