Kobe Recalls He’s the 2nd Best Shooting Guard Ever, Lakers go up 3-1 Against Jazz

I’ve sat here and theorized on Kobe Bryant’s leg fatigue all season.  Everyone has been looking at Kobe’s “true” age because of his straight from high school jump to the NBA.  Everyone (especially me), now should put their notes away.  “Black Mamba” will take us to school.

The Lakers beat the Jazz 108-94.  Kobe went off for 38 points and 6 rebounds, going a scorching 16-24 from the field.  The surprising part to me was how he got his points.

I was waiting for Kobe’s bounce-back game after he went 5-24 from the field in game 3.  But I thought this bounce would come from smarter inside play and drives.

How about this for a shocking stat: Kobe made 14 of his 16 field goals from 15 feet and out.  Somehow, someway, he inacted vintage Bryant, the one making difficult shots in defender’s faces from the outside.

Game 4 became a game that Laker fans can rejoice in.  The Lakers are one home win away from the 2nd round.  More importantly, their leader has proven that he will not just distribute the ball and score just 20 points for the remainder of the playoffs.  Kobe can still be dominant when the team needs him to be.  And in this championship run, they definitely will.

Nice post. So true. Kobe is still dominant. Those that disagree, don’t watch enough Laker games.
